Gotta share pictures (added some 7-27)

Wordplay is my 3yo Alphabet Soup filly that is still unraced, and is recovering from pinfiring for sore shins. Today I got pictures of her and am posting. Please ignore the Betadine and swollen shins. Isn't she turning into a beauty? 8) :D She's for sale for the right price, an Iowa-bred, 7/8? sister to a stakes-placed winner by With Approval. She will sell for about $15,000 for anyone interested.

I also saw Dreams for Hire work out at Remington today, and she is hopefully due to return to the races soon.

Those are two good-looking mares! Good luck to you.

I like the both, it seems to me that wordplay needs time, and think she would like turf racing a little bit of mud would not harm her.
Good luck with both of them
Does they train always on dirt?
Dreams for hire seems pretty youthfull in relationship with her age

Hi, BenB. Wordplay probably will like the grass, but hasn't had a chance to practice on it. Most American tracks don't allow horses to train on the turf unless they are entered in stakes company, and she has been training at Prairie Meadows, Iowa, which has no turf racing. We hope to get her in shape to get to the turf at Remington Park by early October. She has really been developing this year. Her older brother didn't win until age four, but is stakes-placed at five.

Dreams for Hire is a compact March 3yo filly, and her sire is a slender turf router. Her dam's roots are mostly from big-boned sprinters, so she may be a sprinter that can stay well, I hope.

Today I processed the pictures from yesterday on two of my youngsters that I hadn't photographed lately. They are:

Ghost Hunt, a gray son of Silver Ghost ex Spanish Guitar, age 14 mo.

Royal Pacific, a bay daughter of Authenticate ex Reigning Glory, age six months.

Ghost Hunt looks a lot like his mother in frame, with a big barrel and narrow body, and is small like his father. Thankfully, he's a nice boy, unlike his dad. :D

Royal Pacific is a big, well-balanced foal from an unraced son of Gone West that I haven't evaluated in person, whose mama was the tough racemare Lakeway. He stands in Texas, and his first crop will start racing next year. Glory had no interest in racing  , but has some good ancestors :) . She's got a crooked leg, but her daughter is straight.

The gray one will be big and huge, the bay one could be early.
He seems to be compact

Ben, I'm not sure which set of pictures you're talking about--the 3yo's or the babies. The gray colt probably won't be very big, as his sire is not. The gray filly has always been big and is growing a lot still.

The 3yo bay filly is compact and early. The 6 mo old is big all over.
