Dreams for Hire continues to make ready
Dreams is becoming accustomed to her jaunts to and from the track from the farm
. She is traveling much better now with the pony accompanying her and in an open stock trailer. She has her routine, and needs to spend as little time as possible at Remington. She wants to kick the walls if she's not constantly attended to. She is very focused on training, and has great concentration and competitiveness. Today she worked five furlongs for the first time, and by herself. This is the first workout that wasn't near-bullet, so I'm sure we'll get at least one more such work before we find a race to enter. She's very exciting to own at this stage of her life, despite her idiosyncrasies. What a case!

Dreams returned to the track for a workout at Remington this morning. She traveled well, and kept to task. I missed her workout, but got a chance to show my husband why she is such an impressive individual. On the walker she had that fire in her eye, kicked, bucked, and spun; and spun around to butt-kick a slow filly in front of her that needed to get the message of who was controlling the pace!
I have the feeling both are dominant females, but in different ways. As soon as Dreams was taken off the walker, the other filly changed her tune and became feisty as well. Just like watching kids on the playground!
She ran her five furlong work in 1:01.6, eleventh of twenty-four at the distance this morning. The trainer thinks she's a little sore in her rear end from all the gymnastics and kicking, and will have the vet see if he can detect any areas of concern before we proceed to a race.

For anyone who's been following this thread about Dreams for Hire, her baby sister is featured in the Foal Page thread. She's the Millennium Wind filly looking at you in the first set of photos.
Dreams developed a sinus infection after the last workout and has been receiving treatment, and the vet said she's otherwise okay. So the plan is to get in her final workout tomorrow before planning a race.

I would give her some time, as this kind of things are fast coming back
I used to give Vestal Heights a filly that was about the same in behaviour
some natural calmers, as there was always the possiblity for hurting herself, or something else.
The product are here delivered by Natural Animal Feed and it absolutely
safe in using, and they are really beneficial.

Dreams returned to Remington Park with a vengeance today
. She apparently thrashed around and kicked in the open stock trailer for the entire thirty miles or so from the training center
. She'd been building a head of steam for the past week when her exercise was limited by treatment of a sinus infection
.
The trainer said he knew he needed to work her today, no matter what, or she might self-destruct
. She was 13th of 26 runners in 49.2 seconds at four furlongs this morning, and galloped out in 1:04.2, somewhat slow for her, but without company
. Now we look for a race for maiden fillies 3 and up, maybe $15,000 claiming
. She can do any last minute fitness training while in competition, so we don't waste any extra trips to/from the track
. And she can't be kept in the barn at the track without tearing it apart
.
Ah, the many challenges of racehorse management and racing!
