i know its a long shot

Postby GrapDragon » Sun Sep 17, 2006 3:24 pm

i guess its along shot but might as well try. the year before last i had to put my TB broomare down after a freak accident. im trying to track down her last registred foal a 2001 filly by Summing registred as Summerstrick. i have thus far been unable to find a current owner for her. as far as i can find she hasn't been raced and has no offpring. i bought the mare Agitated Girl the year after she foaled her 2001 filly as her owner intended to send the mare to auction. the filly was sold the following year. ive hit a dead end on tracking her down or at least an owner. if anyone has the abilty to track down this filly for me or at least point me in the right direction, id very much appricate it!

I have spent years tracking my ex racers...found all but one and I'm still looking for him...I've googled and yahooed and watched every race from every track I could find...my latest was a godsend...she was an unraced broodmare.....I left a note with my email on the pedigree query website under her name and a bloodstock agent emailed me that she was for sale on a canter website and I went and bought her back that weekend...she's now living the good life on a farm in Lexington.....the one I am looking for now is named Sunset Hero..if you go on pediree query..and click the circle prompt next to his name( highlighted in blue) you'll see my note...that was the same note I had for the mare that the agent saw...hope you're as lucky as I was...now if I could just find Sunset.

LaTroienne, thank you so much!

ive been unable to find anything on this filly since she was sold in 03'. this is the first ive heard of her since then. i still haven't been able to track down her current owner, which is my ulitmate goal. i'd like at the very least to be able to make a offer to buy her as she is the last baby out of my beloved broodmare. unfortunitly my mare wasnt able to produce a foal for me before we had to put her down. i figure if Summerstrick is still racing her career probably wont last all to much longer and if she's already retired even better. i'll keep searching for , alhough thus far im apparently not very good at it. if anyone with better resources is able to track down her current owner or location i would be eternally greatful.

much good will,

Can't you contact the Jockey Club with a request for the owner's address?

I'll send you a PM with some info. I don't want to put people's personal address out on the web.
