no it wasn't an easy decision. the vet said that we can give her shots to keep her alive, but she would not get up and we would be making the same decision ina day or two. I did not want her to suffer, she already had a hard enough life. I stayed by her side up until the end and after she had passed I found it really hard to leave her side. she was the best horse that I had ever had. I posted this so other people could remember her in a good way.
She was proud loved to run, she didn't care for baths but would stand there and let you. she hated her feet to be messed with, but if you put a 5 gallon bucket of feed out there, she would let you do anything to her. she could not be riden. So I would take her for walks down the road and run her back up it. I knew if she wanted to she could out run me but she never tried, she stayed at my side.
I want everyone to know that Gammy's Girl was the most loyal and sweet horse and she will be missed everyday. [/img]
