Broken Vow fee?

Postby tbrace » Thu Oct 19, 2006 8:39 pm

Hi,

Anyone hear what Broken Vow is going to stand for next year?

Just curious.

Thanks!

I've heard two-$25,000 and $40,000

Heard Maria's Mon is going to $50,000

Thanks, Jeff,

Now that's what 8 stakes horses can do for you, I guess!

It will be interesting to see what happens with some of these guys who are doing well.

All of the stallions currently at Pin Oak have had good years.

Broken Vow has 7 stakes winners, including a Gr-1 placed filly.

Sky Classic has sired just about every kind of stakes horse imaginable this year, from a candidate for champion hurdler to an extremely useful flat runner at Woodbine to a 3yo classics winner in Puerto Rico.

Maria's Mon has had a banner year and a legit contender for turf filly champion in Wait a While. I'm curious about the $50,000 fee...he was $35,000 for a while and got lowered to $25,000 for this year. Even with the years of good runners, will he have enough commercial support at $50k?

I also suggest that his son Strong Contender appears (to me anyway) to have the kind of ability that could potentially catapult him into the mix for Horse of the Year Honors 2007.

Respectfully

And, amazingly, he only got 28 mares this past breeding season. Why aren't people all over him?

FOS, thank you, for some reason Strong Contender slipped my mind.

Sunday, I have NO idea why Sky Classic didn't get more mares last year. Sky Conqueror will most likely be champion older male in Canada this year, and Sur La Tete has the credentials for champion chaser.

Broken Vow

Does Broken Vow have what it takes to send him on up the ladder, like Maria's Mon apparently is doing? I think MM could be near 75K in the next couple of years.

Will Broken Vow move up also?
