Rubiano mare, need a good stallion recommendation

Postby Stellaspeed » Thu Nov 25, 2004 5:59 am

Her name is Runaway Rubi. Her half sister by Conquistador Cielo is Casa Nekia, who ran a decent 8th in the Revere Stakes 2 weeks ago. Her dam has had 4 to race, 4 winners. The mare is in Virginia, won going a mile, made 57k, is correct, 16 hands. We are looking at a horse named Standing on Edge for a nice regional bred baby. Any suggestions?

If Housebuster returns to Virginia from Argentina for the 2005 Northern Hemisphere season, you might want to give him a look. A mating with him would linebreed to both Rough'n Tumble and Aspidistra while outcrossing to the mare's Northern Dancer inbreeding.

Another Virginia sire who might be worth consideration if a turf miler would suit you is Mighty Forum (GB). This mating is outcrossed within five generations but overlaps a fair amont of common ancestry further back.

Cmon Nancy!!! You could get Binalong for next to nothing couldn't you?...She is a perfect specimen(on paper) for him..He really hits with Fappiano as it is...I love the idea of Rubiano's put to him...
If you skip on this one, I'll come over and personally smack ya!! LOL!!!
I know you want to breed in the state but how much can it cost ya to ship her to Randy?

Let me know what ya do...

I would consider several stallions

Hi!
Speaking of Binalong, his second dam Rullah Good is the third dam of my mare White Wedding. I would consider Bop giving you 3x3 Fappiano,4x4 Mr. Prospector,4x5x5 Northern Dancer,4x5 Halo, and 6x6x7x7x7 on Almahmoud one of the most influential mares on the breed. Who has more influence on the breed than Somethingroyal, Almahmoud, and Mumtaz Begum? On that cross your foal would include great mares Glorious Song(dam of Singspiel and Rahy), Ballade(dam of Saint Ballado,Devil's Bag, and Glorious Song), Aspidistra(dam of Dr. Fager and Ta Wee), Natalma(dam of Northern Dancer), Cosmah(dam of Halo and 2nd dam of Cannonade),Rowdy Angel(dam of Pine Bluff and Demons Begone and 2nd dam of Fusaichi Pegasus). Bop had lots of speed and he is in West Virginia.

Catienus lone stakes winner is out of a Rubiano mare

Postby Keith » Sun Dec 19, 2004 8:35 pm

I came across Catienus who is by Storm Cat standing in New York and his stakes winner out of his first crop is out of a Rubiano mare. Catienus is out of a Mr. Prospector mare.

Black Tie Affair in standing in WV in 2005. Thet would give you a 3X4 to Mr P; however, BTA does well with Northern Dancer bloodlines,

BTA has produced four millionairs, 33 stakes winners and 72% of his foals to race are winners. Also, WV has a good added money program.
