Sired a number of mares which bred on, including 1) an unnamed mare which was dam of Sampson (winner of six King's Plates and sire of high class racehorse Engineer and Allabaculia, the winner of the inaugural running of the St Leger in 1776); 2) Ringtail Galloway, grandam of outstanding racehorse Atlas (four King's Plates, Jockey Club Plate); 3) Sister to Hartley's Roan Stallion, the dam of Regulus Mare (taproot mare Family 15-d); and 4) an unnamed daughter which was grandam of good class racehorse Liberty (1770 Doncaster Cup)
Full brother to top class racemare Brocklesby Betty (1716 King's Plate [mares] Hambleton, 1717 King's Plate [mares] Newmarket and King's Plate Newmarket, 1718 King's Plate Newmarket); to Brocklesby (1715 King's Plate York); and to Long Megg (1716 King's Plate [mares] Newmarket)
