| Grandam of Skipwith's Black-and-All-Black, the sire of the grandam of 1) Elliott's Top Gallant, sire of Madame Tonson, dam of the great racehorse Monsieur Tonson, top class winner of 11 of his 12 career starts, after losing his first start remaining undefeated for the remainder of his career, and achieved a good measure of success as a stallion, both of sons and daughters, and he was Leading Sire in America in 1834; and 2) Kennedy's Diomed, sire of an unnamed mare which is ancestress of many good horses notably Lucy May (1881 Kentucky Oaks) and Miss Hawkins (1891 Kentucky Oaks)
Skipwith's Black-and-All-Black was sold by Sir Peyton Skipwith in the American War of Independence to Tucker & Burge for 500,000 lbs of tobacco
