Cal bred. Osceola was a member of a pioneering band of T-Bred horses imported into OR and WA Terr. in the late 1860s and early 1870s, when the region was still unstable. His owner (a Portland hotelier and LaGrande stockman) was killed in the Bannock War on July 12, 1878 near Pendleton, OR.
