4th dam of Vanity, the outstanding racehorse on courses south of the James River in 1815 and 1816, undefeated until her last race on 8 May 1817 at Newmarket, Petersburg when she falls and breaks her neck in the 1st heat against Lady Lightfoot; 6th dam of top class racemare Reality, winner of high class races between 1816 and 1819, and rated by her owner as good or better than the great racehorses Boston and Sir Archy, both of which he also owned; 7th dam of the high class [Johnson's] Medley, Slender and Bonnets o'Blue;
and 8th dam of the great racemare Fashion, winner of 32 of her 36 career starts, she set an American record time for 4 miles of 7:32.5 when defeating the great Boston in straight heats in the famous North versus South match race at the Union racecourse, Long Island, New York on 10 May 1842
