According to the GSB he was imported by George Henry Hay, 8th Earl of Kinnoull, from Constantinople where he had been purchased for 200 guineas; however, the back of a portrait of the horse says:- "imported into England by Fitzhugh, Esq., and the property of Mr Chas. Wilson". He was certainly owned by Charles Wilson when he was at stud
Stood at Mr. Dunn's stud at Oran, near Catterick, Yorkshire for several seasons, for a fee of 5 guineas 5 shillings
Sire of a number of winners of which the best was the good class racehorse Narcissus; and of an unnamed mare which is 3rd dam of Abba Thulle (1790 Doncaster Cup) and 5th dam of good class racehorse Muley Moloch, sire of Alice Hawthorn (winner of 52 races, including Doncaster Cup twice and Goodwood Cup, and dam of Thormanby (1860 Derby, Champion Sire 1869))
