Stood first at McMeekin's Oakwood Stud, then at Young's McGrathiana Stud. After McMeekin died in 1906, Woolsthorpe was sold at Fasig Tipton Lexington, and was bought outright by Col. Young for $500.
Died July 14, 1910 at John D. Carr's farm, near Lexington. His death was noted in DRF as due to "old age and excessive heat".
