Lord Rockingham's Sampson mare won the first running of the St Leger in 1776, trained by Christopher Scaife and ridden by John Singleton. She has no entry as a foal in the GSB but is listed as a brood mare in the 5th edition along with her progeny. Her maternal pedigree is unknown. She was unnamed during her racing and breeding career and was later named Allabaculia during the 19th century.
