Imported into Virginia in 1784 along with Medley and Pantaloon where he has considerable success mainly as a broodmare sire, notably as sire of 1) an unnamed mare which is grandam of Tuckahoe, winner of high class races between 1812 and 1815, and 3rd dam of Boston, one of the greatest of American racehorses, Leading Sire in America 1851, 1852, 1853 and sire of the great racehorses Lecomte and Lexington, the latter 14 times Leading Sire;
of 2) Maria, grandam of Lady Lightfoot, one of the greatest racemares of the 19th century, winner of between 30 and 40 races, many of the highest class including around 15 Jockey Club Purses, and dam of top class racemare Black Maria; and of 3) the 3rd dam of top class racehorse Badger's Hickory,
