I own Perfect Circle (Unbridled X Missed The Storm, by Storm Cat) dam is a G1 Stakes winner.
He has yearling in 2008, so his first crop will run in 2009.

This is him at 3..

This is Perfect Circle at 6...

Here are a couple of his foals.

Mountain Top & Sir Juli Go

Postby KBEquine » Sun Jun 01, 2008 1:17 pm

We stand 2 stallions - graded stakes-winning sprinter Mountain Top, whose first foals arrived in 2008:

And Sir Juli Go, who was represented in the eventing world in the young horse series this year:

While we will stand each to outside mares, given the quantity of stallions who moved to PA & the quantity of PA mare owners who still prefer to breed to KY sires, it made sense to commit our money to buying mares who match Mountain Top, rather than advertising & hoping for the right mares' owners to find him while he is still a new regional sire:

This is his very small first crop. We're pleased [and a little sorry I'm not a better photographer]:

Filly out of Compelling Song, whose half-brother Jump for Joyeux set all-weather & turf sprint records in 2006 & 2007, one at Turfway & the other at Mountaineer:

Image

Colt out of Nadine's Cape, by Cape Town, from the family of late FL sire, Tour d'Or:

Image

Filly out of Saratoga Sass by Northern Ice, from the family of Vosburgh-winning sprinter, Fabulous Strike [we couldn't get her to stop running long enough for a still shot!]:

He won their Breeder's Cup Juvenile as a two year old and at four he won a G1 1000 meter sprint in 54.33 seconds (3/10 second slower than the world record for 1000 meters). He won going long and short, on turf and dirt. He was on the board in nine graded stakes. His half sister, Randy Cat, was two year old champion filly in Argentina. He has an incredible temperament, which he throws, and is a very beautiful well balanced horse. He has the "motor behind" AND the "motor in front" -- absolutely fantastic hip and shoulder.

His first year was slow, I have his ENTIRE first crop (five foals). They are two year olds now and we are just getting them started in training. He picked up more mares the second year, he had a much bigger year in 2007, and 2008 is shaping up pretty well considering I broke my leg in March and have not been nearly so active in recruiting mares for him. He had 24 in '07 and will probably end up with 25 or so in '08. People love his foals, and he gets quite a few return mares.

some good numbers for 07 and 08. Enough to get some to the track. As gerry mentioned above that can be difficult. If Rascal Cat and Wry Razzi do anything special you will need to be on two good legs by next spring! Sure you have better handle on the type of mares you are looking for, but my first thought was turn-to.

I have to agree. Very nice, and some nice looking future prospects.

Good Job.

I am the proud new owner of my 1st TB stallion,"Winloc's Nelson" a 1998 model by Anjiz out of Julia of Winloc by Lost Code.
I will be breeding mostly for Sporthorses, I had planned on breeding my TB mare, "Camp River" but she passed away so I'll be in the market for a TB mare.[img][IMG]]

Nice plan for Mountain Top. Thought I was looking at Fury there for a second. I am surprised that there aren't a few PA mare owners that woulnt be interested in him.

Sir Juli Go, 135 starts and then on to eventing. Wow. There was a time when I recall looking at Hethersett historically, but it was a while back. I'll have to go back and see if I can find out why I had interest in him.

Great pics thanks for sharing.

There are better experts than me when it comes to picking a mate, but Codex/Fappiano Fager is something to look at. I believe Codex only produced one crop and can't help but think he would have made a bigger impact had he lived a little longer.

Hi
I am the proud owner of Gone Fishin graded stakes winner of $490,551.00
He stands in Ontario, Canada. In a regional market. He did about the same as last year. We find it quite hard to compete in the market with the bigger farms. People really like to go to them even if the stallions are of lesser quality. IMHO. His first crop of foals are gorgeous and we are really looking forward to them racing. Some are headed to the sales. I personally would like to keep a couple to race myself. They are the spiting image of the sire. so with his conformation how can I go wrong? lol.

Thanks, hope so.. I have offered free cover to Roy mares (inside out of Randy Cat) and special considerations for Fappiano mares and so far a few inquiries but no cigars.. I wonder if it is too difficult to contemplate? I have a gorgeous two year old out of a wonderful Rubiano mare I sold earlier this year (also in foal to Rocking Trick) - that's a great cross. Almost anything Mr. Prospector could work with the Storm Cat dam. Also Bold Ruler.. here is a piece Michael Ventura wrote back when I first got the stallion
http://www.pedigreepost.net/archives/RockingTrick.html

One always thinks things will help.. his half brother sold for $1.3 million as a yearling. Then there are things that come along and pump up some of my broodmares.

This filly is the best filly from the '06 crop
Image

Her dam is Miss Ballet, one of the toughest mares in my broodmare band to deal with, but check her out with her '08 colt

I own Ferrara --grade 2 placed sprinter. He was bred to about 10 mares this year. He is tail female to Papila and I would like to add some Crimson Satan blood (such as Storm Cat and his sons and also Peaks and Valleys)to the mix and see how that works. Also would love to try some Too Bald blood(Exceller, Baldski,American Standard) or some Hidden Talent blood(Broad Brush/Hay Halo).

Nice pedigree + .5 mil. Only your pocket book can tell you the answer to your question. I wish I could rear and race them all too if that is any small consolation.

While you're adding blood, woodman mares might worth looking for. Along the line of Acceptable (whatever happened to him?)

Not Fury . . . just a guy playing in pasture. Here's a picture his exercise rider sent to me, showing his "happy to work" side:

We aren't set up to accommodate many mares, so while we would welcome the right ones, we stay intentionally small.
