***After further review I have edited this post to select Mendelssohn as my number one pick for the JV Colt Turf. This horse is kin to Beholder and Into Mischief that cost 3 million as a yearling. I do not believe that his connections would ship all the way to California without signs that he is ready to run to their expectations. I might end up with egg on my face, but it certainly would not be the first time and will not be the last.

I am super happy to see Battle of Midway win that! I have been high on him all year... and then completely ignored him in this. Didn't think he had the speed to compete here. Boy, was I wrong. I REALLY like that horse.

Yes, I allowed him to get away also...and we both thought he had ability....credit to Hollendorfer's training ability. Mor Spirit hasn't been right, a shame he ran this bad though. I was going to throw him out then chickened out. How about Mendelssohn, looks like a really nice horse and DDT rang his bell loud and clear!. TJ
