Sent back to England as a yearling. Following his racing career, Never Say Die was donated to the National Stud by Mr. Clark. He retired to stud in 1955 and was leading sire in England in 1962 based largely on Larkspur's Derby victory;
however, he gained a reputation for siring stock with soft bones. He was also a leading sire of broodmares. He died in 1975.
