| His sire is not known for certain, but he is believed to be a son of Rockingham 1781, and to be the first Thoroughbred stallion in Australia. He was imported into NSW from (or via) the Cape of Good Hope in 1799. Mated to one of the Cape Mares imported on the ship Brittannia in 1795, he produced Cariboo aka The Rockingham Mare, foundress of Colonial Family 15, the oldest dam line in Australia
