4th dam of the great racehorse Rockingham (winner of 8 King's Plates and 2 Jockey Club Plates 1786-1788, sire of Bellina (1799 Oaks) and of Castianira, dam of the outstanding American racehorse and magnificent sire Sir Archy); and 5th dam of outstanding racehorse Gohanna, sire of 151 winners including 2 Derby winners
The GSB in 1891 says that Camilla's dam was Son of the Brownlow Turk Mare, dam of top class racehorse [Bolton] Starling. However, a letter dated 20 July 1737 by John Hervey, 1st Earl of Bristol, clearly states that Camilla is out of Old Lady, the contemporaneous nature of the letter almost certainly evidencing its accuracy
