Grandam of Macheath which in the summer of 1778 won all the four year old Plates in the counties of Cheshire and Lancashire, travelling (i.e. walked) over 500 miles to his races in the course of seven weeks, winning the Plates at Manchester, Preston, Lancaster, Nantwich, Liverpool and Knutsford, a feat described in Pick's Turf Register as 'not equalled in the annals of the turf'
