| Imported to North Carolina in 1765, where he was a useful broodmare sire, notably as sire of 1) the dam of high class winner Betsey Baker, the grandam of McPherson's Bluebeard, sire of Bess Brimmer, the sire of a) Brimmer Quarter Mare, Foundation Mare of American Family A11; her best descendants include the great Duke of Magenta (1878 Preakness, Belmont, Travers, Withers Stakes; the only other two horses to have won all 4 races are Man o'War and Native Dancer); and of b) Fenwick's Brimmer, sire of Lady Fortune, the 3rd dam of high class racehorse Longfellow (Leading Sire in North America 1891) and 4th dam of top class racehorse Ten Broeck (23 victories from 30 career starts);
and of 2) the 4th dam of a) Elliott's Top Gallant, sire of Madame Tonson (dam of the great racehorse Monsieur Tonson, top class winner of 11 of his 12 career starts,
Leading Sire in America in 1834); and of b) Kennedy's Diomed, sire of an unnamed mare which is ancestress of many good horses notably Lucy May (1881 Kentucky Oaks) and Miss Hawkins (1891 Kentucky Oaks)
