Imported by Colonel John Baylor to Caroline County, Virginia in 1755, where he enjoyed some fair success as a broodmare sire, notably as sire of 1) the 5th dam of top class racehorse and winner of Jockey Club Purses Top Gallant, a winner between 1804 and 1806; and of 2) the 6th dam of [Ball's] Florizel, top class racehorse, undefeated in 4 career starts, and a successful stallion, sire of a) Tuckahoe, top class winner between 1812 and 1815; of b) Little Billy, winner of 13 of his 16 races in 1812 and 1813;
of c) other high class sons, of d) a number of daughters which bred on; and most enduringly of e) Sister to Tuckahoe, dam of the great racehorse and stallion Boston (winner of 40 of 45 starts, Leading Sire 1841, 1842, 1843, sire of Lexington, one of the greatest sires in American history, 16 times Leading Sire)
