12 May 1774 - 4m heats Nottingham (from [Sims'] Wildair) Sire of 1) Hall's Union, winner of the 4m heats Jockey Club Purse Annapolis in 1782 and the Jockey Club Purse at Alexandria in 1783, and the sire of a) an unnamed mare which is dam of Floretta which in 1806 won the 4m heats Jockey Club Purse at Washington, beating Top Gallant, [Ogle's] Oscar and First Consul, Top Gallant winning 1st heat by a few feet from Oscar, and Floretta the 2nd and 3rd heats, Oscar finishing 2nd in all 3 heats, the 2nd heat in 7 mins 52 secs, a course record; and of b) another unnamed mare which is 3rd dam of Whipster, the sire of Lady Adams, winner of good races at Charleston in 1830;
and of 2) the grandam of Anderson's Twigg, the sire of an unnamed mare which is the dam of Hampton's Twigg, the sire of Spot, the fourth earliest mare in the lineage of American Family A9 He was called Slip in the General Stud Book and Sprightly and Babraham, as well as Slim, when imported into America.
